CENTREVILLE (WKZO) — Convicted child killer Daniel Furlong has been given 30 to 60-years in prison for the horrifying cold case murder of 11-year-old Jodi Parrack of Constantine..
He was allowed to plead to second degree murder in exchange for promises of a confession, and for information on any other crimes he may have committed in St. Joseph County.
The young girl was snatched off the street, lured into Furlong’s garage, tied up, sexually assaulted, strangled and then her body was dumped in Constantine’s cemetery in November of 2007.
He was about to try the same thing on a White Pigeon girl last summer, but she escaped and told police and that led to the DNA sample that connected Furlong to the Parrack murder.
Furlong, who is 65, won’t be eligible for parole until he is 95, and they are betting that Furlong will never be a free man again.
So far Furlong has not confessed to any other crimes.
