BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – An especially brutal beating in the Cereal City. Authorities say a Battle Creek woman was savagely struck with a baseball bat and is reported in stable condition today.
She was transported to the Trauma Unit at Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo after she was allegedly attacked by a former boyfriend. It happened outside her apartment at The Arbors in the 600 block of Oakbrook Friday Afternoon. Apparently she was confronted outside her unit by the man, who reportedly hit her repeatedly in the head, and stabbed her in the neck. Police arrived and the boyfriend was arrested within minutes. He is being held for assault with intent to murder and is expected to be formally charged on Monday.
