BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM)– A cold case in Battle Creek has heated up, and William Wilson has been arraigned for open murder for the killing of Joseph Flowers who was shot at party in 2012 on High Street.
The 30-year-old will be held without bond in the Calhoun County Jail pending a May 10th preliminary hearing. The motive for the killing may not be revealed until then.
Wilson is also charged with three felony gun counts.
They reopened the investigation a year ago and finally compiled enough evidence to obtain a murder warrant.
The victim was hit 5 times, including the face, and died three weeks after the attack at Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo.
