COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Parts of southwest Michigan got soaked Thursday night. Hoff’s Vegetable Farm north of Coldwater and a resident at Lake George both reported two inches of rain. Paw Paw recorded over three inches rain which led to water over M-40.
Ironically, the rain came hours after the latest U.S. Drought Survey which showed most of the Lower Peninsula is in a drought.
The northeastern part of Branch County and northern Hillsdale County are abnormally dry, while Jackson County and eastern Calhoun County are now in a moderate drought.
