CONCORD, MI 9WTVB) – Today was supposed to have been the first day of classes in the Concord Community School District in Jackson County but classes had to be cancelled when tires on a number of school buses were flattened.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department says the initial investigation suggests that ten buses had at least one tire flattened making a significant portion of the bus fleet inoperable.
They think it happened sometime late Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning.
The scope and amount of damage is still being determined.
Deputies will be working closely with the district to identify the individuals responsible for this incident.
