KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Stryker Corporation isn’t offering any details but they have notified the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in a formal filing that William Parfet has resigned from their Board of Directors, effective immediately.
His name and picture has already been removed from the Stryker Website.
He had been on the Stryker Board for well over two decades.
It comes just a month after the Upjohn heir and billionaire philanthropist was named in a high-profile sexual harassment civil suit from a California woman who claims Parfet forced her to have sex over a number of years while she was an employee at MPI Research where Parfet was CEO.
He retired from that position at the end of last year.
His lawyer says they plan to contest the lawsuit.
