OVID TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The cause of the fire which destroyed the Ovid Township Hall in Branch County last week remains under investigation.
Sgt. Michael Benjamin from the Michigan State Police Fire Investigation Division said the Federal Bureau of Investigation provided additional manpower last week.
He pointed out it’s not unusual to have the F.B.I. help investigate a fire at a government building.
Neighbors reported hearing a loud explosion before the fire broke out. No injuries were reported.
Ovid Township Board of Review meetings for this month have been moved to the Coldwater Lake Association Building on Warren Road.
In addition, the March 7 Ovid Township Planning Commission meeting has been cancelled.
