BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) –State Police say a high speed chase through some Battle Creek neighborhoods ended with a rollover crash and an arrest of a man who was reportedly wanted on several felony warrants.
They think he had recently led local deputies on other chases that the deputies broke off for safety sake.
The chase actually began on I-94 when they tried to pull the driver over for a seat-belt infraction.
The suspect got off at Beadle Lake Road and ducked onto side streets to try to lose the Troopers, eventually losing control at Raymond Road and Cliff Street, and rolling over after hitting another car.
The suspect wasn’t done, kicking out a window and attempting to run away. His foot was run over, dodging traffic and he was chased down and busted.
Both the suspect and his female passenger required treatment. The occupants of the other car were not hurt.
The suspect will have several new charges added to the felonies he already faced.
