KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM)– Kalamazoo Public Schools says they have relieved a summer school teacher of her duties.
They claim she put a 5-year-old on her original bus and did not carry out a notification that the family had requested a change in bus stops.
Wednesday, the little girl was dropped off at a bus stop where there was no one to collect her. She was left to wander around the neighborhood for over half-hour before her mother found her.
The district says it’s the teacher’s responsibility to make sure each child is put on the right bus.
