KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A stubborn kitchen fire at a small apartment building off Westnedge Avenue has displaced one tenant but Public Safety reports no injuries.
Firetrucks were dispatched just before 8:00 last night to a report of a possible grease fire that had gotten out of hand in one of the units at Denway Circle Apartments.
It took fire crews about 40-minutes to knock down all the flames and bring the fire under control. The Red Cross is providing temporary housing and other items for the displaced victim.
The Fire Marshal will investigate the cause of the fire.
