BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — A Battle Creek woman who allegedly ended an argument with a man by plunging a knife into his chest Monday afternoon shortly after 2:00 is being held at the Calhoun County Jail awaiting formal arraignment on attempted murder charges.
Police haven’t released what the argument was about or whether the woman felt threatened, but they say the 20-year-old female suspect did leave the crime scene in the 100 block of Kingman Ave. before they arrived.
Battle Creek Police credit cooperation from witnesses at the location with helping them track her down a few blocks away and take her into custody.
The 23-year-old man was admitted to a local hospital in serious condition. No names have been released.
