ALBION, MI (WTVB) – Recall petition language against Albion Mayor Garrett Brown and Council Member Sonya Brown will be reviewed by the Calhoun County Elections Board Tuesday.
The two are accused of micro-managing and interference in the day to day operations of the city, violating the city charter and prompting the current city manager to submit her resignation.
If the petition language is approved, petitioners will then have 60 days to collect 439 valid signatures to force a recall election.
Mayor Brown has also been named in a personal protection order by a woman who claims he stalked her for months.
Brown has denied the accusations.
