GALESBURG (WKZO AM/FM) — A bank robber who roughly matches the description of the thief who held up a bank in Kalamazoo Thursday morning is now being sought for a bank heist in eastern Kalamazoo County on Saturday.
In both cases, tellers describe an older white male who jumps into a van to make his escape.
Late Saturday morning the robber walked into the PNC Bank Branch in Galesburg, passing a note to the teller demanding cash.
The suspect claimed he had a weapon, but none was seen.
Investigators will no doubt compare notes and surveillance photos to determine if it’s the same robber, but in both cases a getaway driver in that silver van was waiting in the parking lot for the thief.
