LANSING, MI (WTVB) – An 84-year-old woman from Calhoun County had a pleasant quarter million dollar surprise Thursday.
She found a Michigan Lottery Keno ticket that had been in her purse for at least three weeks so she had it scanned at a store and was told she had to go to Lansing.
When the ticket was scanned at the Michigan Lottery Commission’s front desk on Thursday, she was told it was worth $250,000.
The woman, who chose to remain anonymous, says she broke down in tears after learning about her jackpot and plans to save her winnings.
The Michigan Lottery says the winning ticket was bought at the Family Fare store on Capital Avenue in Battle Creek.
