COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A sexual harassment lawsuit filed nearly a year ago against Branch County and Prosecutor Ralph Kimble has been settled to the satisfaction of all of the parties involved.
Special Judge Susan Dobrich signed the dismissal of the case two weeks ago.
It was scheduled to go to a jury trial January 22, 2019.
As usual when a court case is settled before it goes to trial, the details of the settlement were not released.
Kimble denied the allegations against him that were filed by former Prosecutor’s office employee Evon Staley in the lawsuit that was filed in October 2017.
Branch County was also listed as a defendant because Staley claims the county “failed to take timely and appropriate action based on Prosecutor Kimble’s sexual harassment of their female employees.”
