BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — Another member of a loosely organized network of child predators and sexual deviants has been arrested and charged in Battle Creek for allegedly having sex with a pre-schooler.
45-year-old Donald Johnston has been charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct and ordered held on $500,000 bond.
They say he was identified by the State Police Computer Crime Unit has having had contact with other members of the ring, seeking access to other children.
He allegedly raped a little boy repeatedly from January of this year until his arrest.
They don’t think he was part of the plot to kidnap, torture and kill a child that has resulted in conspiracy charges against some members of the group.
He could get 25 to life if convicted of the 1st degree CSC charge.
