PORTAGE (WKZO AM/FM) — A Portage family won’t be spending thanksgiving at home after a fire late Monday night did $100,000 dollars damage to their place at 2611 Romence Road.
Central Dispatch got the 911 call at about 11:20 pm.
Fire crews had the flames knocked down in 15-minutes but by then, Battalion Chief Tim Foley says there was substantial damage to the structure.
One female occupant suffered an undisclosed injury.
The Fire Marshal will investigate the cause of the fire which caused significant damage to the rear and west side of the home.
