OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller reports they have found the driver involved in a hit and run crash that killed a man in Oshtemo earlier this month.
45-year-old Edward J. Howell Jr. of Allegan was struck from behind and killed as he was walking along 9th Street the night of December 8th.
After the release of information in the media that detectives were looking for a black Pontiac Torrent with front end and mirror damage, they received a tip.
They seized the vehicle on Monday and made contact with its 21-year-old operator on Tuesday.
During an interview, she admitted she was driving the vehicle on the evening of the fatal crash.
