COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan Pork Producers Association will host an African Swine Fever preparedness meeting this Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the Michigan State University Extension Office on Marshall Road in Coldwater.
China currently has more than 90 reported cases which is deadly for pigs but does not harm humans.
The meeting is being held in conjunction with MSU-Extension and the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The meeting in Coldwater is the second of four meetings throughout the state. Similar discussions are planned in Cassopolis January 15 and in Grand Rapids January 17, 2019.
