HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – The names of the two Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department deputies and a Hillsdale woman who were injured Wednesday night in a two vehicle crash involving a department patrol car south of Hillsdale have been released.
Hillsdale County Sheriff Tim Parker has identified the injured deputies as Daun Rubin and Wes Ludeker.
Both of the deputies were riding in the same patrol vehicle when the crash took place at the intersection of South Hillsdale and Bear Lake Road at about 7:00 p.m..
Rubin was treated and released from Hillsdale Hospital for minor injuries.
Ludeker was flown to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne where he has undergone surgeries for his injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash has been identified as Krista Hackworth of Hillsdale. She was flown by West Michigan Air Care to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
The crash is still being investigated by the Michigan State Police. The details have not been released but investigators say alcohol is not suspected to be a factor.
