RANSOM TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department say they are looking for three suspects after they broke into a home in the 10000 block of Grass Lake Road early Saturday morning, tied up the homeowner, and stole an unknown amount of marijuana.
The victim told deputies he heard a knock at his door at about 2:10 a.m..
When he looked outside, he saw a heavier set woman walking away. He asked her if he could help and she stated she was looking for directions to Pioneer, Ohio.
The victim stated while he was talking with her, two men approached him, one with a firearm and one with a knife.
The suspects ordered him inside at gun point while asking him where his marijuana and money was. The victim stated they then tied him up with a television cord and held him at gunpoint while they searched his home.
After stealing marijuana, the three suspects fled the scene in a white van.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office believe this is a lone incident and that there is no threat to the public.
Sheriff’s Office personnel were assisted on scene by officers from the Michigan State Police and Hillsdale Police.
