KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Officials at the Radisson Plaza hotel are possibly planning a new dining location to replace the popular Italian restaurant Zazios.
Greenleaf Hospitality Group, which operates the downtown Kalamazoo hotel, says they have not yet decided on what the exact changes will be, but the transition could take place father down the road after 2021.
For now, Vice President of Marketing at Greenleaf Hospitality Group Sarah Olszowy tells us that there are no set closing plans for Zazios at this time.
The blueprint posted on the city’s development webpage shows the potential of new developments including a revamped interior, larger windows, and sky lighting.
Located on the main floor of the Radisson, the spot is the only location for Zazios.
A redesign was previously commissioned in 2016 to convert the restaurant from a fine-dining location into a more casual eatery with eclectic dining options.
The proposed plans are now being considered by the Downtown Design Review Committee. Very few details have been released at this time.
