As the lockdown continues to lift, the good vibes are
rolling in and we’re able to continue our Chevy Summer Adventure of 2020!
Nothing better than a good road trip, especially in the new 2020 Chevy Equinox!
We have to thank our friends at West Michigan Chevy for letting us loan this
awesome vehicle
This time we packed up the Equinox, gassed it up and made
our way to Marshall! The new Equinox is great for people that don’t want a car,
but don’t want a full size SVU or truck. It’s great on gas, has plenty of legroom for comfort, and has plenty of space for hauling around the kids, friends,
pets, etc.
On the way to Marshall, I was quite impressed with the way
the vehicle handled. The active safety features are great for new drivers!
(take notes parents) It has lane assist and will warn you if you’re drifting.
In fact, if you’re not paying attention and you come up on a stopped vehicle,
it will literally break for you. It’s a jarring experience, so I would
recommend keeping your eyes on the road.
Our first stop was in downtown Marshall. We took a stroll
down Michigan Ave, and checked out the historical buildings and little shops. I
was blown away by the number of museums and historical sites. I didn’t get to
go inside and check it out, but I was really intrigued by the American Museum
of Magic! I was completely mesmerized by the Brooks Memorial Fountain! I would
consider it one of the many wonders of Marshall.
We then took a drive over to the Calhoun County Fairgrounds,
where I was treated to a very informative history lesson form one of our sales
people who has lived in the area her entire life. Needless to say, she was
very passionate about Calhoun County and Southwest Michigan as a whole. After
that, we headed north and made the very short drive to Cornwell’s Turkeyville!
Cornwell’s reminded me something that you find in Shipshewana,
but only better AND right here in our backyard! I sampled…an entire Turkey Reuben
which was FANTASTIC! That turkey definitely lived up to all that hype! I was
really impressed with everything that Cornwell’s has to offer! Including the
dinner theatre, I see a date night in my future with the fiancée.
Of course we again have to thank our West Michigan Chevy
Dealers for lending us the new Chevy Equinox! I’ve lived in Michigan all but
one year of my life, and it still blows me away how much I still haven’t seen! Now
that we’re able to get out and about, check them out online and set up a test
drive from your local Chevy dealer!
