KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo College softball team lost two games in a doubleheader against Alma on Wednesday. The finals were 9-4 and 7-5.
In the first game, the two teams were tied through five innings before Alma jumped ahead to win the game in extra innings. Alma scored five runs in the extra-inning and the Hornets were unable to score in the bottom of the inning, losing 9-4 .
In the 2nd game, Alma led 1-0 after one inning before the Hornets took a lead with five runs over the next five innings. Alma tied the game up in the bottom of the sixth before scoring two more runs to hold on for the win.
Kalamazoo College plays their next game against Trine and Calvin at Trine University beginning Friday at noon.
