EAST LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Former Michigan State University head baseball coach Danny Litwhiler has been elected to the College Baseball Hall of Fame.
Litwhiler coached for 28 years at the Division One level at Florida State and MSU. He was in East Lansing from 1964 to 1982 and led the Spartans to Big Ten championships in 1971 and 1979 and to the NCAA Tournament in 1971, 1978 and 1979.
Litwhiler is the first person from MSU to be elected to the College Baseball Hall of Fame, and will be inducted posthumously with the rest of the 2021 class next month.
