KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo’s local soccer club is having a spectacular season so far, thanks in part to a former star with the W.M.U. soccer team who is now the coach.
WWMT reports that Kalamazoo FC is in first place in their division under first-year head coach Shane Lyons. Their record is 9-1-2 overall and 5-1-2 in the Great Lakes division of the USL League Two.
The team will get a chance to take it to the next level on Wednesday night as defending league champion Flint City comes to Kalamazoo for a match at Mayors Riverfront Park.
