Church fire in Hastings early Tuesday morning under investigation

HASTINGS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The cause of a fire early this morning at a church in Hastings is under investigation.

Several fire crews responded to St. Rose Catholic Church on Jefferson St. just before 4:00 a.m.. When they arrived, smoke was billowing from the front door. Firefighters were able to get the flames under control.

There were no reports of injuries and the extent of the damage is still being determined.
