LUZERNE COUNTY, PA (WKZO AM/FM) – The suspect charged in the 2005 murder and disappearance of Battle Creek woman Ashley Parlier has pleaded guilty to two additional murders in Pennsylvania.
Previously, 42-year-old Harold David Haulman III was identified as a person of interest in the Parlier case. He was charged with her murder last July.
Parlier went missing on June 12, 2005 from her home in Battle Creek. Her body has never been recovered.
Calhoun County detectives were contacted by Pennsylvania law enforcement regarding her disappearance earlier this year.
They said they had a suspect in custody for other murders, and he provided them with details regarding Parlier’s disappearance and the possible location of her body in the northern part of Newton Township.
Calhoun County detectives later interviewed Haulman, who confessed to having an argument with Parlier at a home in Emmett Township.
Haulman indicated he had assaulted her and knocked her unconscious. He then drove her to a remote area in Newton Township where he struck her in the head several times with a piece of wood until she was dead and later discarded his blood covered clothing that he wore at the time.
On Wednesday, WOOD TV 8 reported that Haulman has also pleaded guilty to the murders of two women in Pennsylvania.
Haulman had confessed to the murder of Tianna Phillips from Berwick, PA, in 2018. Like Parlier, the remains of Phillips have not been located.
He also confessed to the murder of Erica Shultz from Bloomsburg, PA, after meeting her online last year.
For these crimes, Haulmann is now facing two life terms in prison with no possibility of parole.
