Monday afternoon, Michigan State Police (MSP) troopers in Southwest Michigan responded to an incident involving a barricaded gunman in Geneva Township, located in Van Buren County.
According to a Twitter post sent just before 2:30 p.m., the incident occurred in the 15000 Block of Country Road 681.
A male suspect is said to have shot at a vehicle in a yard near two people, after which he retreated to a home and barricaded himself inside.
There have been no injuries reported.
MSP are asking residents to avoid the area until the situation is resolved.
