BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A sinkhole is causing a road to be closed in Battle Creek indefinitely.
City crews discovered a large sinkhole on Ivanhoe Street on Friday, October 15. The street itself intersects both Michigan Avenue and Union Street.
City officials are advising pedestrians and drivers to use caution in the South Union Street area and should expect lane restrictions and traffic shifts.
Crews are currently in the process of figuring out exactly what repairs will be needed as Ivanhoe Street will be closed until further notice.
