Kalamazoo County Transportation Authority Millage Renewal
Kalamazoo voters were asked to renew a millage for the Kalamazoo County Transportation Authority (KCTA), which would levy a tax for public transportation purposes up to 0.3124 mills (31.24¢ per $1,000 of taxable value).
According to a sample ballot from the State of Michigan, the millage –
- Would be a renewal of a previously authorized millage expiring with the 2021 levy;
- Would be levied for five years, 2022 through 2026;
- Is estimated to raise $3,003,000 in its first year; and
- Applies to the taxable value of all taxable property within Kalamazoo County.
Results:
- Yes – 25,016
- No – 9,820
Parchment City Commission
Below are the results for those voting in Parchment, who are selecting City Commissioners.

Portage City Council
Voters in the City of Portage selected new members for City Council. There were no candidates running against incumbent mayor Patricia Randall, according to a sample ballot from the State of Michigan. However, a number of ballots were cast for write-in candidates in that position, currently totaling 47.

Galesburg-Augusta School District Bond
Another big item on the ballot in Kalamazoo County involved the Galesburg-Augusta School District, where voters decided on a major school improvement bond that comes out to $16 million and would be used for several school improvements.
Results:

- No – 1,032
Fire Protection Millages in Galesburg and Pavilion Township
Voters in Pavilion Township and Galesburg both have fire protection millage questions on the ballot. Funds would be used for fire services including operations, equipment, maintenance and more.
Galesburg Fire Protection Millage:
An increase of up to 2.0 mills would be imposed, or $2 per $1,000 on the taxable value of a property for 15 years.

Pavilion Township Fire Protection Millage:
This millage is listed as a renewal, which would be set at 1.50, or $1.50 per $1,000 of taxable property. It would be levied for five years.
