Hey guys! So I think we’ve down a stuffed peppers recipe before but this one was different and SO GOOD! Start by making your homemade tomato sauce, which you can find a recipe for further back in the blog! This time I obviously replaced ground beef with ground venison for the filling.
Here’s what you’ll need for the peppers: (look up the recipe to see what you need for the tomato sauce)
-Bell Peppers
-Onion
-Minced or fresh garlic
-Bay leaf
-Salt
-Pepper
-Parsley
-Mozzarella cheese
-Can of peas
-Rice
Start by cooking the sauce, next get the rice cooking. Followed by browning the venison, season it with S&P, garlic, bay leaf, and parsley. Throw in chopped onion as well to cook with the meat. Once the meat is down, start adding in some sauce…but don’t drown the meat! Once the rice is down, add that to the mixture with the peas, more parsley and some mozzarella cheese. Cut the tops of your peppers, and put them in an air fryer or toaster oven for 2-3 minutes so the cook a little bit. Add in the mixture (pack it tight) top it with more mozzarella and parsley…and cook in the air fryer or toaster oven for 5-10 minutes!
