MARENGO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is looking into an incident where a Marengo Township man allegedly shot at his neighbor’s vehicle with a long gun on Wednesday, October 5.
Calhoun County deputies responded to the 21000 block of Division Drive where they spoke with a 32-year-old man who said that his vehicle was shot at while driving westbound on Division Drive.
According to authorities, crime scene investigators were able to locate two bullet holes on the man’s vehicle.
Through further investigation, a 28-year-old male suspect was located and taken into custody. A search of the suspect’s residence revealed a long gun believed to be used in the shooting. The suspect is now lodged at the Calhoun County Jail on numerous offenses related to the incident.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office confirms that both men involved in the incident are neighbors and that there is not threat to the public at this time.
