KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Students and staff at Western Michigan University joined colleges across the country in remembrance of those who died in the mass shooting at Michigan State University and held a candlelight vigil Wednesday morning.
The vigil was held in the Bernhard Center’s North Ballroom.
Speakers included representatives from counseling services and Western Michigan University President Edward Montgomery, who said, “Mondays tragic events has traumatized that campus, have traumatized us, have traumatized the country.”
WMU is also offering students counseling services at the Sindecuse Health Center and 24/7 crisis counseling through a tele-health service.
