BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A man who was reported as missing by Battle Creek Police was found safe Wednesday about 90 minutes after the city issued a news release which stated he had walked away from Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
34-year-old Jacob Kenneth Weiderman left the hospital on North Avenue at around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night.
There were concerns about him as he was receiving court-ordered mental health services.
Police did not consider him a danger to the community.
He initially walked away from First Step, a Summit Pointe mental health services facility, Tuesday morning. Weiderman was located around 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon near Bailey Park and taken to Bronson Battle Creek.
