MATTAWAN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A stretch of eastbound I-94 between the Mattawan and Oshtemo Township exits was closed Monday morning into the afternoon due to multiple crashes, including a semi-tractor trailer sideways across the expressway.
Multiple vehicles were involved in that accident and several others in the area
That stretch of I-94 experienced very windy and snowy conditions Monday. Van Buren County is under a Winter Storm Warning, while Kalamazoo County is under a Winter Weather Advisory until 4:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Police are urging drivers to use caution due to heavy or blowing snow that could create whiteout conditions in the area.
