BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A man has been found guilty in connection with a fatal shooting during a party at the Arbors of Battle Creek in July of 2021.
Lansing Hodges was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter and several weapons charges on Thursday in Calhoun County Circuit Court and is scheduled to be sentenced February 9.
Police say 27-year-old Andre Watson was shot and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His 29-year-old sister was also shot but her injuries were not life-threatening.
Authorities add Hodges and a second unknown suspect fired more than 20 gunshots during the incident.
