KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) โ Area drivers who have lost their license can get information on ways of getting it back, as the Secretary of State and other community partners host aโฏRoad to Restoration clinic in Kalamazoo Thursday, March 6.
Organizers say the event is designed to help eligible drivers better understand the process of regaining their driving privileges.
It will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 120 Roberson Street in Kalamazoo from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Volunteer attorneys will provide one-on-one consultations with attendees to check their current license status and answer questions on how they can safely return behind the wheel. Secretary of State services will be available on site, including vision testing and the written driverโs exam.
Preregistration is strongly encouraged before the day of the clinic atโฏMichigan.gov/R2R or by dialing 2-1-1. Walk-ins will be accepted from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. as space permits.
Clinic participants are asked to bring payment for their driving record ($16) or print one out at Michigan.gov/SOS the day before the clinic.
If participants are eligible to have their license restored at the clinic, they will need the appropriate documents on hand, like ID, Birth Certificate, and proof of residency.
The clinics do not provide DUI/OWI expungement services and license reinstatement is not guaranteed. Participating courts will be able to process payments.
