MARCELLUS (WKZO AM/FM) — It’s a case of modern day cattle rustling.
St.Joseph County Deputies say a 1300 pound cow, an Angus-Hereford mix that was very pregnant, is believed to have been cow-napped on July 10th from a pasture in the 11-thousand block of Floating Bridge Road.
That’s in Flowerfield Township near Marcellus. The theft happened nearly a month ago, and the cow is already past her due date for having the calf.
Investigators say it would have required a trailer and some other equipment to pull off the beefy heist.
They are asking anyone with information to give them a call.
