DETROIT (WKZO AM/FM) — The new chairman of the Democratic national party, Tom Perez, was in Michigan, as part of a listening tour with state party chair Brandon Dillon Friday.
They agree that they lost the battle of the bumper stickers, and its one reason they took such a beating at the polls last November.
He says Michigan has become a key state in national elections, like Ohio and essential that their party does a better job here the next election cycle.
They simply didn’t do a very good job of delivering their message or explaining what they could do for voters.
Dillon says Trump hit the stump and made a lot of promises, ones that it now appears he may not be able to deliver, but he had a message.
