CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police have released the name of the Brooklyn man who was killed Wednesday morning in a traffic accident near Centreville.
Troopers say the fatal victim was 24-year-old Kelly O’Neil. State Police report he was driving an SUV and went through a stop sign at the intersection of Featherstone and Shimmel Road at about 10:15 a.m..
The SUV then collided with a pickup truck which was driven by a 48-year-old man from Sturgis.
O’Neil was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver was treated and released at Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo.
State Police say drugs or alcohol were not suspected as factors in the crash.
