CALGARY ALB CA (WKZO AM/FM) – Enbridge has received support from several sources in connection with its fight with the state of Michigan over Line #5 in the Straits of Mackinac.
Canada, attorneys general in Ohio and Louisiana, and numerous chambers of commerce have sided with the energy company, saying that shutting down the pipeline would prove catastrophic to the economy.
Governor Whitmer ordered the shutdown of the line effective Wednesday; the company said they would not comply and intend to fight the request to terminate the easement for Line #5.
