KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police in Kalamazoo are investigating a double stabbing that occurred in Bronson Park Tuesday evening.
Officials say that around 6:18 p.m., police responded to a report of a fight that broke out. Upon arriving, two female victims were discovered who had been stabbed.
A 32-year-old Kalamazoo woman had been stabbed in the chest, while a 21-year-old Kalamazoo woman had been stabbed in the lower leg.
Both victims were transferred to Bronson Methodist Hospital and were last reported in stable condition. Witnesses on scene reported that the suspect had stabbed the victims after an argument.
The suspect, a 41-year-old Kalamazoo woman, was still on scene when police arrived and was arrested. She is currently being held at the Kalamazoo County Jail.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
