KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety officers are searching for a potentially armed suspect after a robbery near the West Main Hill neighborhood.
It happened just after 11:30 p.m. Monday at a business in the 900-block of West Michigan Avenue.
Officers say the man told an employee he had a gun and demanded money from the register, but a weapon was never seen.
He then fled the scene with the cash. A K-9 track was launched as officers searched the surrounding neighborhoods, but they had no luck.
The suspect is described as a black man with scruffy facial hair and neck tattoos, and was wearing all black clothing with a black hat that had colorful embroidery on it.
