BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN) – Thousands remain without power, after a series of powerful thunderstorms roared through Calhoun, Branch, Hillsdae, and St. Joseph counties Wednesday afternoon.
At 5:00 p.m., Consumers Energy was reporting 30,013 customers out in Calhoun County, with 6,468 in Branch County, 10,071 in Jackson County, 28,914 in Kent County, 5,278 in Eaton County, 1,531 in St. Joseph County, and 1,586 in Hillsdale County.
Several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were issued, with a wind gust of 60 miles per hour reported in Marshall in Calhoun County, and a gust of 59 miles per hour reported at the Branch County Memorial Airport in Coldwater.
