KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo police have arrested a drunk driver who damaged multiple vehicles in a parking lot in the Knollwood Neighborhood early Sunday morning.
It happened around 4 a.m. when officers received multiple reports of a vehicle that had crashed in the 1700 block of Knollwood Avenue.
Witnesses provided responding officers with a description of the suspect and told them the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
The driver, a 19-year-old Kalamazoo resident, was located four blocks away and showed signs of intoxication.
In all, six vehicles were struck in the parking lot with significant damage.
The suspect was arrested for drunk driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
