PHILADELPHIA, PA (WTVB) – The Philadelphia Eagles are hiring former Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz as their next defensive coordinator. Schwartz will join the staff of newly hired Eagles head coach Doug Pederson.
Schwartz spent 2015 as a consultant for the NFL’s officiating department. He guided the Buffalo Bills’ defense to an NFL-best 54 sacks in 2014. The 49-year-old spent five seasons as head coach of the Lions.
