KALAMAZOO MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A shortage of workers has resulted in an airline ceasing operations at the Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport.
United Airlines announced Thursday that it will stop operations at the airport as of January 3, 2022.
The airline stated in a release that Kalamazoo isn’t the only airport it is suspending flights from due to the pandemic, as eight other airports have seen United stop flights.
An airport spokesperson said that, although the stoppage isn’t good news, the airport will continue to provide service to the area through Delta and American.
No date has been announced for United to restore services.
