BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN) – Calhoun County Prosecutor David Gilbert has filed criminal charges against four students for allegedly making threats against area schools.
Gilbert told WWMT-TV the charges included making a false report of a bomb threat.
He pointed out some threats involving a bomb could lead to the filing of a felony charge that would carry a maximum sentence of 20 years.
A rash of school threats were made in the area following the Oxford High School shooting rampage on November 30 which resulted in the deaths of four students.
Many area districts were forced to shut down as a matter of caution due to the threats.
