BLOOMINGDALE TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — A 19-year-old is being treated for several major injuries after a collision near his home in Van Buren County’s Bloomingdale Township.
It happened at around 11 p.m. Saturday. They say the teenager’s westbound Chevrolet Silverado strayed over the center line of County Road 380 and kept going until it left the pavement on the opposite side of the roadway, striking a tree.
He was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the cab of the pickup.
He was loaded on board a West Michigan Air Care helicopter and flown to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo for emergency surgery.
His name and exact condition have not been released.
